<title>FSX Terrain Products Updated!</title>
<link>http://portal.fsgenesis.net/Article236.html</link>
<description>Both North America Terrain Mesh for FSX and World Terrain mesh for FSX have been updated.

North America Terrain Mesh for FSX has been expanded to include the midwest, as all available 10m NED source data has now been incorporated into the product. As well, 38m Alaska coverge has been added. Additionally, the two reported issues since the original release have been addressed (two minor spikes in the Rockies region).

World Terrain Mesh for FSX has been updated to fix an issue along the eastern edge of 19m Alps coverage.

Both updates can be freely downloaded by logging into your FSGenesis Store account and clicking either &quot; My FSX Downloads&quot; or &quot;GalaxyXpress&quot; depending on your membership status.

<title>Server Move Completed . . .</title>
<link>http://portal.fsgenesis.net/Article235.html</link>
<description>Though creating more hair-pulling than anticipated, the move to a more robust server has been completed and all functions of the site and store appear to be functioning nominally.

You should find server performance and download speeds somewhat increased and we are now in a more scalable situation where we can quickly and easily (though not inexpensively(!)) add more resources when needed.

We appreciate your patience though this transition the past few days as we go through ever more growing pains.

<title>Server move over next 48 hours or so . . .</title>
<link>http://portal.fsgenesis.net/Article233.html</link>
<description>In order to cope with the increasing demands we have made arrangements to upgrade our server package to provide more bandwidth and generally better overall perfromance. We will be moving the entire operation over the next 24-48 hours to a much more powerful server. You may expect sporadic outages during this time, but we will strive to make the process as seamless as possible.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and ask that you please bear with us during these growing pains.

<title>FSX Terrain Mesh now avilable!</title>
<link>http://portal.fsgenesis.net/Article232.html</link>
<description>I've decided to roll the FSG North America Terrain Mesh for FSX out as areas are completed rather than waiting until the whole thing is completed. I currently have one machine compiling 24 hours a day and may bring a second one in on the process, so there will be further uploads daily until completion on or about October 10th, after which optional DVDs will ship.

There will be a graduating price, starting at the $14.95, which will be rising as new coverage areas are made available, topping out at $24.95. Optional DVDs will add $10 to the price and will ship around mid-October.

I expect there to be a high demand for this product as FSX begins hitting the shelves, so here is a good chance to get in on the ground floor at a low price. Even if you don't have the FSX beta right now, but expect to buy FSX as soon as it's released, now is a good time to start downloading, since server demand is likely to very high later on.

Galaxy-class members, as always, may simply log into their FSG store account and click GalaxyXpress. Others may use this link and be downloading in minutes:

<title>Attenion: 3-year Galaxy Members . . .</title>
<link>http://portal.fsgenesis.net/Article229.html</link>
<description>Seems hard to believe that more than three years have passed since FSGenesis introduced the revolutionary and well-recieved 3-year Galaxy Membership. Since then hundreds of regular customers have become satisfied and enthusiastic Galaxy members.
Now these 3-year Galaxy Memberships have begun to expire with the exciting developments of FSX just around the corner. With this in mind, FSGenesis makes this special, &amp;quot;can't-refuse&amp;quot; offer. All Galaxy members now have the opportunity to upgrade their membership to a lifetime GalaxyPlus for $50. Any time before your Galaxy Membership expires, simply click the &amp;quot;Galaxy Upgrades&amp;quot; category on the FSGenesis Store menu (you'll see it after logging into your account), add the &amp;quot;Upgrade Galaxy to GalaxyPlus&amp;quot; to your shopping basket, and check out. That's it--you will then be a lifetime member of FSGenesis, eligible for the free in-house products, free CDs, and priority support to which you have become accustomed.
To those dozens of you whose Galaxy memberships have already expired, for a limited time--until August 15th--you will also have the opportunity to renew/upgrade to GalaxyPlus for the same price. After August 15, when your Galaxy membership expires, it expires, and renewal or upgrade will cost the full price. Note also, that if you obtained your Galaxy membershp PRIOR to January 6, 2003, that you have been grandfathered into the GalaxyPlus Lifetime membership, and this offer doesn't apply to you, since your membership will not expire.
If you're not sure whether your Galaxy membership has expired or when your membership will expire, simply log into your FSGenesis Store account and click &amp;quot;Order History&amp;quot; and note the date of your Galaxy Membership order. It expired/will expire three years from that date.
Also, please note, this offer does not apply to memberships acquired through any promotional offer.
